Check the record before you save it
A checklist can reduce avoidable record-entry errors. Confirm the selected account, complete instrument, side, quantity and timestamps. If you are recording an option, identify the contract rather than only its underlying name.
The preview below is a journal-entry aid. It does not approve an investment, enforce a broker restriction or tell you which trade to take. The selections stay on this page and reset when the page is reloaded.
Customize a routine for your own plan
The private Trading Plan workspace lets you define plan rules and pre-market, during-market and post-market routines. Use questions that match your written process, rather than treating a generic list as a complete plan.
Daily checklist records capture the routine for that day. When reviewing a session later, retain the relevant plan version and the journal notes explaining any exception.
Add context to exceptions
A missed item should have a clear record of what happened. If you correct a price or quantity, distinguish that factual correction from a later interpretation of the decision.
Checklist completion is a process record. It is not a forecast of returns or proof that an execution was suitable. Compare completed items with the underlying record during your regular review.
